Water’s Edge moves to Howbery Business Park

Two tradesmen have joined forces to create Water’s Edge Limited, a plumbing, heating, kitchen and bathroom company that has recently taken office space at Howbery Business Park near Wallingford.

Employing seven contractors and currently recruiting for an administrator / PA, directors Andy Howse and Nigel Maynard hope to grow their business by investing in staff training and ensuring a high level of customer service.

As a former champion rower having won at Henley Regatta and nearly making Team GB, company director Nigel Maynard has a natural affinity to the water making Howbery Business Park the perfect fit for Water’s Edge.

Andy Howse, director, comments: “I have been working with Nigel for a number of years but we have now decided to officially incorporate a business together. Howbery Businses Park is a great location to enable us to do that as not only are we based at a beautiful riverside location, but have also found the management team here to be extremely flexible. The park is an attractive place to work which will undoubtedly help with our recruitment.”

With ambitious growth plans, Water’s Edge is aiming to double its turnover during its second year of trading and the directors are committed to a training programme that will see another member of the team achieve a gas safe certificate by the end of March 2016.

Howse continues: “Customer service is everything in our business as referrals are extremely important for business growth. We work with a great team and I often receive emails from customers commenting on their good work. We will continuously strive to maintain this standard as we become a bigger company.”

Donna Bowles of the Howbery Business Park Estates team, said: “I would like to welcome Water’s Edge to Howbery Business Park and look forward to seeing the team grow. I’m sure that once word spreads that we have a reliable plumbing, heating, kitchen and bathroom business on site, Andy and Nigel will receive plenty of business from some of the 850 people working at Howbery Business Park.”

Howbery Business Park, owned by HR Wallingford, has a diverse range of businesses on site with major occupiers including GTI Media and the Environment Agency. The park has planning permission to create 70,000 sq. ft. of new office space.
