Travelling by Car

Travelling by bus

Howbery Business Park is well connected by bus to Oxford and Reading. The bus service X39/X40 stops just in front of the gate on its way to Oxford and on the main A4130 road on its way to Reading. Travellers can also get on or off at Crowmarsh church, which is only a 5-minute walk from Howbery Business Park.

Howbery Park offers various bicycle racks, at the entrance of the site next to Kestrel House and Red Kite House or in front of the Manor house. Bicycles racks are covered to protect bikes against the rain but they are not locked.

Travelling by train

The closest train stations to Howbery Park are:

  • Reading Railway station (13.5 miles/22 kms)

Didcot Parkway Train station provides quick and easy access to London. Reading/London Paddington by train takes around 30 minutes on a fast train. If you are travelling by train, the quickest way to come to Howbery Park is to leave at Didcot Parkway Station and take a taxi to Howbery Park. There is no direct bus service from Didcot. A bus, service X2 run by Thames Travel, connects Didcot to Wallingford. You then need to walk to Howbery Park. See Travelling on foot for more information. There is a bus service connecting Cholsey Station to Howbery Park (see bus service 136 run by Thames Travel). Commuters may take their bike on the train and alight at Cholsey station, it’s only a short ride from Howbery Park.
